Neighbourhood Admail™ is a distribution service offered by Canada Post for delivery of your flyers, post cards coupons, brochures and magazines.

Neighbourhood Admail is one of Canada Post’s targeted direct mail services. It consists of printed matter and product samples that are not addressed to specific delivery addresses in Canada. Unaddressed Admail provides geographic, demographic and lifestyle information to target mailings to neighbourhoods or localities that have the highest potential audience – without a Customer database.

The impact of an Neighbourhood Admail item is defined by the four Rs – the item is received, read, recalled and responded to. Neighbourhood Admail can help build Customer traffic, develop relationship marketing with groups of Customers, or advertise a special offer. Customers can easily measure the effectiveness of their campaign by including a Business Reply Mail™ card.

The Service Overview summarizes key information such as qualifying criteria, options, delivery standards, pricing, designing and mail preparation.

What You Need To Know About Neighbourhood Mail

Travelling at the lowest postage rates of all Canada Post products, Neighbourhood Mail (formerly known as Unaddressed Admail) pieces are bundled securely before moving smoothly through the postal system. The Neighbourhood Mail (formerly known as Unaddressed Admail) stream is a rewarding yet cost-effective strategy for coupons, postcards, brochures, menus, flyers, catalogues, sample mailings, co-op mailings, and more.

Neighbourhood Mail (formerly known as Unaddressed Admail) is a most valuable direct mail solution for broad acquisitions and brand recognition. This mailing service targets specific letter carrier walks that match closely with your intended audiences and customer profiles. Canada Post’s professional data services like Precision Targeter will map out certain geographies and assess their value towards your target. You have the final say on what letter carrier routes make the cut, depending on their profiles and proximity.

Neighbourhood Mail (formerly known as Unaddressed Admail) planning also differentiates between Houses, Apartments/Condos, Farms and Businesses. You can specify which of these audiences you would like to mail towards since each direct mailing should be as focused as possible. For example, an HVAC contractor may want to target only houses with families within a 10km radius. For many other types of direct mailings, however, reaching out to most or all of these audiences can also prove successful. Some available mail targeting demographics to consider include:

  • Age
  • Household size
  • Building Occupancy
  • Building Type
  • Building Construction Period
  • Education
  • Household Income
  • Immigrants Place of Birth
  • Occupation Field
  • Marital Status
  • Family Structure
  • Children at Home – Age
