Consumers’ Choice was developed in response to consumer demands and gives them the option of either receiving Unaddressed advertising material or not. For mailers, the benefits are clear. Through the Consumers’ Choice program, Canada Post Corporation has compiled an essential element for any direct mail campaign; the total number of households, or counts, with an interest in Unaddressed direct marketing information.

Now more than ever, Householder Counters will give you the information you need to determine quantities when preparing direct marketing pieces. By using the householder counters you can effectively target audience you want to reach only.

The Forward Sortation Area (FSA) is comprised of the first three characters of the postal code and is the basis for sorting mail. The FSA identifies the geographic boundary of a particular postal delivery area. Within any FSA are the various modes of delivery e.g. letter carrier, suburban service; and corresponding counts of houses, apartments, etc.
